JUKI TL-2200QVP Mini
QVP stands for Quilt Virtuoso Pro, and JUKI used the TL-2200QVP name for two machines. One is a long-arm quilting head that rides on a frame. This page is the other one, the TL-2200QVP Mini, a sit-down straight stitcher in an aluminium body. It's a close sister of the TL-2010Q, with the same 8.5 by 6 inch arm, 1,500 stitches a minute, 6 mm stitch and knee lift. It adds the long-arm's name and a foot control you can heel-press to trim the thread. Its catalog dates from 2015, and JUKI made it in 120V and 220–240V versions, so check the plate on an import. Like the TL-2010Q it uses a JUKI-only bobbin case and household needles, and it wants a drop of oil every day it's used.

Ask for a photo under the slide plate with the bobbin case in place. A missing bobbin case or the wrong needle system is the most common reason a machine that looks fine won’t sew.
What to check
The same points as the TL-2010Q. A worn bobbin-case spring, a scratched needle hole and a dry machine cause most trouble, and listings mix it up with the long-arm TL-2200QVP.
- 01Which machine: Check the photos show a sit-down machine marked Mini. A frame and handlebars mean the long-arm, which is a different purchase.
- 02Voltage: Read the rating plate in the photos. It should match your outlets.
- 03Bobbin case: Ask for a photo of the bobbin case out of the machine. It should be the JUKI case with a smooth spring.
- 04Trimmer: Ask for a video trimming by heel press. The thread should cut cleanly every time.
- 05Running: Ask for a video at full speed. It should run evenly without a rattle.
- 06Knee lifter: Check the knee lifter is included. It lifts the foot 12 mm for thick quilts.

For comparison, dealers ask $1,199–1,239 delivered for a new TL-2010Q, its close sister, so a used Mini should come in under that.
